| I am a 34 year old mom and wife who started this journey almost 2 years ago in search of my new life. I had the gastric bypass LAP on Oct. 17, 2006 and it has changed my life for the better. Before surgery I weighed in at 241, with High blood pressure, and depression. also aches and pains in my hips where I have mild cerebral palsy. As of today (Jan. 4th 2007) I know longer have high blood pressure, or the aches, and I weigh in at 140 (wanting to be 135) I still have depression (it's clinical) but I'm on meds to control it. This is the best choice I have made in a good while. I have my life back and have chosen to live longer for my family.
